Aldi Has Combined Two Amazing Things And Created A Wine Advent Calendar

One of the best things about the lead-up to Christmas is a chocolate advent calendar. If you follow the rules and only open one a day, then it's nice little daily present to yourself until you reach 25 December.

But if you want to jazz up your daily treat, then Aldi has got you covered.

Introducing the £50 (£67.94) Aldi Wine Advent Calendar, which features 24 small bottles of wine to help bring you closer to Christmas. Each bottle is 200ml, which is a bit more than a small glass of wine (125ml) at most restaurants.

According to Drinks Business, it will cater to all tastes and feature a selection of white, rosé, red and sparkling from France, Italy and Spain. The product will go on sale on 1 November, and judging by some people on social media, that date can't come soon enough.

Really needs a nifty portmanteau name, doesn't it? Wident Calendar? Adine Calendar? Well, either way, you've got plenty of time (46 days to be exact, but who's counting?) to come up with a snazzy title. But if your palette doesn't delight in red, white or rosé, and you prefer something with some bubbles - like, lots of bubbles - Aldi still has you covered.

They've launched a three-litre (yes, THREE LITRES) bottle of Prosecco, and it'll hit the shelves just in time for Christmas - 14 November to be precise. Three litres is the equivalent of 24 glasses, and is approximately four times the size of the standard bottle of wine. It will cost £39.99 ($54.35).

If Christmas is a time of year where you might need the help of alcohol to get through it, well, it looks like all your needs are covered. They're also set to bring out a range of cheap gins that look quite delicious.

There are seven coming out in the next few weeks that range from £9.99 to £19.99 ($13.58-$27.17), and some have picked up awards at big events.
