Chocolate, fudge and... ready salted crisps?

It's fair to say that Ben & Jerry's barely put a foot wrong in the flavour-stakes, but their new flavour is bound to cause a bit of a debate as features chocolate ice cream, fudge chips and crunchy, salted crisp swirls.

Chip Happens is one of the ice-cream makers limited edition flavours as part of tie-in with Netflix - this one is in homage to the hit show Nailed It!

According to its makers: "Sometimes 'chip' happens and everything's a mess, but we Nailed It! with this chip-filled limited batch. When smooth chocolate ice cream meets fudge chips and salty swirls, they pack a serious one-two crunch. The best part? There won't be anything left to clean up."

The flavour is already in freezer cabinets in Australia and the US and will be launched in Asda in the UK fairly soon, according to the Grocer; it'll cost you £4.50.

On the Ben & Jerry's website, Chip Happens has already got some rave reviews with an impressive 4.5 stars out of five from 42 reviews.

One happy customer has even called on the company to make it a permanent flavour while another has compared it to dipping your fries into a milkshake. Sounds good to me.

A spokesperson from Ben & Jerry's told Thrillist: "The bake-off competition show celebrates the fun of watching amateur bakers try to recreate edible masterpieces - that often end up as delicious but hilarious baking fails. The flavour name is a playful pun on the popular saying... well, you know what the saying is."

Ben & Jerry's also released two other flavours and a dairy-free option in their Netflix Originals range.

Boots on the Moooo'n is a tie in with sitcom Space Force and promises 'a universe of milk chocolate ice cream with fudge cows and toffee meteor clusters orbiting a sugar cook dough core' and Netflix & Chilll'd which is 'peanut butter ice cream with sweet and salty pretzel swirls and fudge brownies'.

Netflix & Chilll'd is also available in a dairy-free version made using almond milk.
