Get ready for a twisty trip down memory lane, as Bernard Matthews has confirmed the return of one of Britain's most sorely-missed products: the almighty Turkey Twizzler.
Yep, 15 years after the iconic treat disappeared from school menus and the dinner table at home, the poultry purveyors at Bernard Matthews are finally bringing it back to the people - having teased turkey fans about the 'comeback of the century' on social media recently.
The new, revamped Turkey Twizzlers will be available to buy from Thursday 20 August, and will come in two flavours: Original Tangy Tomato and Chilli Cheese - both found in freezers aisles retailing at £3.00 for a pack of eight.

To mark the historic occasion, the company has even erected a three-metre statue of a giant Turkey Twizzler in Norfolk, the home of the beloved product, so that fans can reminisce about the good old days before heading out to buy a pack later this week.

The original Turkey Twizzlers were a huge hit with kids and families during the 90s and early 00s, until chef Jamie Oliver campaigned for them to be removed from menus, amid concerns that they were too unhealthy and only contained 34 percent turkey meat.
But now Bernard Matthews has developed a recipe that is 'healthier whilst just as tasty as the version many will love and remember', with low levels of saturated fats and calories.
Nutritionist Dr Sarah Schenker said: "Turkey Twizzlers have listened to the public and completely transformed themselves into a much-improved product.
"They now have a nutritional profile they can be confident in. High in good quality protein and lower in fat, saturates, salt and sugar.

While the new version will be better for you, Bernard Matthews promises they'll still boast the same 'unique shape', saying the original Twizzler machines have been recommissioned to recreate 'that exact springiness that all Turkey Twizzler lovers will recall'.
When the company teased the return of the Twizzler on social media last week, fans were instantly keen.
One person commented hopefully: "Turkey Twizzlers!?"
Another wrote: "Please tell me it's Turkey Twizzlers."
A third added: "If this ain't turkey twizzlers you guys are biggest d**k tease of the century...!!!"
The new Turkey Twizzlers will be available across all major retailers, starting with Iceland from 20 August.
