Domino's Launches Two Vegan Pizzas

Domino's Launches Two Vegan Pizzas

Plant-based readers rejoice, because the eagerly anticipated vegan offering from Domino's is here and the company hasn't launched just one pizza but two. What a time to be alive.

The pizzas are available from today in 46 of its stores across the UK and the Republic of Ireland, so it shouldn't be too hard to get your hands on one of you fancy. Domino's has said if the pizzas are a hit it will roll them out nationwide.

Vegans - or those who just fancy a break from meat and dairy - can choose between a classic vegan Margherita and a Vegan Vegi Supreme, which comes with a bunch of tasty vegetables on top including mushrooms, peppers and tomatoes.

You can also customise the pizzas with additional vegan-friendly options of your choice.

While most major takeaway chains have been offering vegan options for a while, Domino's had held off while working on a vegan dough that was every bit as tasty as their regular bases.

Domino's trialled vegan pizzas last year but weren't happy with the dough so they went back to the drawing board and set the team to work in the kitchen.

Aman Prasher, who has the incredible title of Domino's chief vegan dough developer, said: "Our vegan offering has been a while coming because we're determined to make sure it's full of our iconic Domino's flavour.

"Our dedicated pizza chefs are incredibly excited for our fans to try this new and improved latest dough as we believe we've nailed it.

"If they agree, and love it as much as we do, Domino's will roll out nationwide. We've now busy working on some toppings and sides - so watch this space!"
