It has been confirmed that Eminem is opening a Mom's Spaghetti restaurant in his hometown. Have a look for yourself:

The exciting and slightly bizarre news was announced on an advert running on a local TV station in Detroit last week.

In the 30-second commercial, Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, can be seen vomiting out a Chinese takeout container with "Mom's Spaghetti" branding across it.

We're then shown some of the delights that will be available from the joint's menu when it finally opens at 2131 Woodward Ave, Detroit, on 29 September.

In case you don't know, "Mom's Spaghetti" is a reference to a lyric in Eminem's 2002 single "Lose Yourself", in which he raps: "His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti."

According to reports, the restaurant is part of a partnership with Union Joints restaurant group, which has previously worked with the rapper on his Mom's Spaghetti pop-ups.

Last year, Eminem donated some of his famous Spaghetti to frontline workers during the Coronavirus pandemic.

A Twitter user going by the name Riley Taugor shared two snaps showing tubs of spaghetti with the Mom's Spaghetti logo on the side.

The caption read: "Eminem Donated Spaghetti Cups to DMC Hospital Healthcare Workers in Detroit Tonight."

In a post on Instagram, staff from the Henry Ford Hospital thanked him for his generous donation.

They said: "Our #HealthcareHeroes "lost themselves" in the delicious Mom's Spaghetti donated by Detroit's very own, @eminem. Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!"

And in 2018, he opened a pop-up at the Coachella music festival, with fans going wild for the stuff.

At the time, one festival-goer said they would be going back the following year if Mom's was.

They told the LA Times: "I want to know if it's just this year because he's playing, or if they will be here next year too. I bet the spaghetti is good."

But while some people seem to love his food, Eminem hit out at Gen Z for 'trying to cancel him' over his music.

According to reports, youngsters have taken issue with some of the rapper's old songs.

More specifically, they took issue with his 2010 hit "Love The Way You Lie", the song he did with Rihanna, over the lyrics: "If she ever tries to f******g leave again, I'ma tie her/to the bed and set this house on fire."
