Food Thief Fired After Stealing Lunch From Pregnant Woman Every Day

Would there be anything more torturous than slaving over your lunch for work only to find someone had nabbed it for their own greedy enjoyment?

Chances are you'd be pretty pissed off, especially if it was your entire lunch and not just the Creme Egg you were saving until later.

But still, you'd be livid like this woman was when she found that her lunch was being stolen every day after her husband made it for her. The kindhearted lady even offered that the offender could have a cooked meal everyday providing they pay for it. Seems reasonable.

Well, apparently not to the thief because they continued to take the food from the fridge that belonged to the mum-to-be.

The victim ended up putting a note on the container explaining that she was pregnant and needed to eat nutritious food - surely enough to make you stop...

Nah, was it heck - the lunch swindler carried on grabbing the midday treat.

According to the Metro, cameras were installed and it turned out that the bandit was an older woman, in a senior position who was also up for promotion.

The lunch robber reportedly didn't get her promotion - can't say we were surprised - and instead she was sacked. Ouch.

Taking to Reddit to vent about the incident, the woman said: "I began labelling my food hoping that would deter the thief. It didn't. Eventually, I put a note on the fridge that said: 'Please stop taking my food. I am pregnant and breastfeeding and this is negatively affecting my health'.

"The thief was a middle-aged woman who doesn't seem to like me. She is making triple what I am making, if not more. After a week of this (I'd been bringing sandwiches and keeping them at my desk to hold me over) I had the IT guy send me a screen-grab of her stealing, one from each day."

She went on: "As it turns out, one of the execs who'd come from headquarters was also pregnant, and the other one had a wife who'd just had a baby. She was terminated.

"I didn't want her to get fired, I just wanted her to stop. If they'd ever talked to me, I wouldn't have wanted to get her fired."

She got herself fired, my friend. Remember that and enjoy your lunch.
