Grill'd Launches Direct Delivery Service In Australia
Burger legend Grill'd has decided to break ranks with meal delivery services and launch its own direct-to-consumer service.
To add a little pizzaz to the announcement, the company has waived all delivery fees from today (April 1) until April 12.
In addition to that, your first order will also be half priced. That means a big chunk of money will stay in your pocket.
Grill'd founder Simon Crowe said: "In these uncertain times, we need to focus on the things that bring us together.
"For our Grill'd family, what unites us is between the bun - our delicious meat and meat free alternatives.
"We make every burger with love and are committed to keeping the community spirit alive by fueling our customers with healthy food delivered direct to their door."
The service will recruit delivery drivers, meaning people who might have lost their job due to the coronavirus will have a chance at a new venture.

Grill'd added in a statement that you have to sign up to its loyalty program to get access the half price deal. You can get delivery without having to sign up.
"To redeem the 'Meat You In The Middle' 50% off initiative, guests need to first sign up to Grill'd's member program, Relish, which is free to join and includes lots of product offers and exclusive invitations throughout the year," the statement said.
"With Grill'd Delivery, Relish members will receive all their regular perks, as well as additional incentives on products that are not available to them if they order via third party, online food delivery services."
It's similar to Guzman y Gomez, who knocked off delivery fees for all orders until March 29.
Sadly, that means if you're reading this: you won't be able to get free delivery.
The Mexican fast food chain, which has more than 100 stores across Australia, ditched fees to help people during the coronavirus outbreak.
