Heinz has launched a new way to start the day in the form of a protein pot for a quick breakfast on the go.

Whether you're late for the gym (those in tier 3, of course) or haven't had the first meal of the day, this is a good way to get a protein-rich meal inside you packed with beans, spinach, sausage and scrambled egg.

The breakfast pots will be available in Tesco from 4 January.

Whether you have it for breakfast or save the treat for lunch, all you need to do is pop it in the microwave for two minutes 45 seconds meaning there's no excuse to skip meals.

High in protein (with 14.6g per pot), Heinz's Beanz Protein Pot is also high in fibre, low in sugar and an easy way to get one of your five a day.

Found in the chilled on-the-go aisles, and with under 235 calories per serving, you can get your hands on a new Heinz Beanz Protein Pot from 4 January 2021 in Tesco and Asda, with more tasty varieties due to launch later in the year.

You'll also be able to pick them up from Asda.

Emily Wright, Junior Brand Manager at Kraft Heinz, said: "Our all-new Heinz Beanz Protein Pot is the perfect on-the-go breakfast or ideal for those looking for a delicious and quick breakfast or lunch option.

"It's tasty, convenient, easy to make and high in protein. Watch this space as we are planning to add more delicious flavours to the range later this year."

The pot has an RRP of £2.50 for 230g.

It's also available within £3 Meal Deal at Tesco and Mix and Match 3 for 2 in Asda.

If you still want the Heinz Beanz experience with a little less health and a little more carb it's worth looking at this beans on toast recipe... if you want to be outraged.

Remember the American TikToker who angered the internet when she shared a tutorial for making a cup of 'British tea'? Well, she's taken on the national staple of beans on toast.

TikTok user @jchelle36 is an American woman living in the UK, who's been documenting life across the pond with her 297,000 followers.

After winding everyone up with her take on 'hot tea', now Michelle has shared a new cooking video for what she's claiming is 'beans on toast', though many users have disputed that's what they're witnessing.

She gets a slice of bread (untoasted) and chucks on a tin of beans, before grabbing a slice of plastic cheese (think BBQ cheese) and places it on top.

She then puts the concoction in the microwave and announces with a smile: "And that's how you make beans on toast!"

Yes, if you're the devil.
