KFC is looking for a 'superfan' to gift a year's supply of chicken. Here's how you can get your hands on a veritable bombardment of buckets:

The fried chicken purveyor is looking to crown the UK's 2021 KFC Superfan of the Year, with the winner claiming literal bucket-loads of chicken and a free trip to Kentucky - where else?

To claim the prize, it's on you to prove that nobody else in this country is more devoted to the Colonel and his fried chicken.

KFC explained: "In the blink of a fry, KFC is back with its nationwide search for the next biggest wing slingin', chicken champion that the country has to offer. They're calling those who live and breathe all things buckets and banquets to be crowned the next KFC Superfan of the Year.

"This year, the stakes are even higher. If a place in the Superfan Hall of Fame and a year's supply of fried chicken isn't tantalising your taste buds enough, the winner will also receive an all-expenses paid trip to Kentucky. Yep, that's right, you, Kentucky, and the Colonel. And two clucky runners up will also receive a year's supply of KFC for their efforts.

"We're looking to honour those who have gone above and beyond to prove they are devoted to all things fried chicken. From a chicken-themed stag do and a Colonel tattoo, to scouring the globe for every KFC and a sonnet to all things fried chicken - last year's entries were legendary.

"So, if you have made a sacrifice, compromise, or commitment all in the name of the Colonel, we want to hear from you."

Poultry in motion.

Check out the wattles on that.

Sitting on the judging panel is former footballer Kevin Stephens (aka Stevo the Madman), foodie fanatic Kate Ovens and last year's winner, Kamlesh Mistry.

You have until 11.59pm on Tuesday (25 May) to apply. Good luck, or good cluck, rather.
