KFC To Bring Back Vegan 'Chicken' Burger After Selling Out In Three Days

The vegan movement shows no signs of slowing and, as a result, restaurants across the world are jumping at the chance to nab their slice of meat-free pie.

KFC included, having just trialled a Quorn-based vegan 'chicken' burger at selected stores in London, Bristol, and the Midlands.

The month-long trial of what's known as the 'Imposter Burger' proved such a success that it sold out in just three days, clocking up 500% more sales than the launch of a normal chicken burger.

Clearly the demand is there. Not wanting to keep the fans waiting, KFC will reintroduce the burger at selected stores in the same regions.

But be warned, good things don't always come to those who wait and in this case you'll have to act fast if you want to get your chops around one, as they'll only be available while supplies last.

Victoria Robertson, Senior Innovation Leader at KFC, said: "With such a phenomenal demand, we knew we had to stock up on KFC's first ever vegan burger.

"We've loved sharing our iconic Original Recipe with vegans and veggies and now even more fans will have the chance to try it."

Tony Davison, Head of Global Foodservice and QSR at Quorn, added: "A vegan KFC? We couldn't believe it either. But we've done it - working with KFC we've created a bespoke Quorn fillet that does the Colonel's recipe justice.

"We have no doubt that KFC fans are going to love the modern take on a finger lickin' favourite.
