If you're planning on enjoying yourself with a little drink in the near future, how about checking out a new tipple and picking up a bottle of Kopparberg Dark Fruit Rum?

It certainly sounds interesting, doesn't it?

It's got a blackberry and blackcurrant flavour, and is great for making that switch from afternoon beer to something completely different.

Just remember to do it in moderation, eh? Nobody likes a sloppy drunk.

Unfortunately, this new concoction won't be available in time for this weekend's festivities, but you can start stocking up in Tesco stores from 1 September.

The bottle will cost about £20, and you can find your nearest Tesco store using the store locator, which we'll handily link to just hre.

The 37.5 percent rum is described as being 'infused with a smooth blend of blackcurrant and blackberry flavours' that showcases 'the brand's flavour expertise'.

They're confident enough in it, anyway.

According to Kopparberg, this drink is best enjoyed over ice or mixed up with some cola and a slice of lime.

The Swedish cider merchants have been stepping out of their comfort zone quite a bit of recent, including releasing a selection of hard seltzers earlier this year.

They also teamed up with rapper Kojey Radical to launch the product - he designed a set of t-shirts to mark the occasion and will be donating some of the proceeds to the Music Venue Trust, hoping to help out grassroots music venues at this difficult time.

Rob Salvesen, the head of marketing at Kopparberg, said: "Following the success of our Cherry Spiced Rum launch earlier this year, our new Dark Fruit variant allows existing and new Kopparberg Rum fans to discover a new way to enjoy the bold fruit flavours the brand is famous for.

"We are always looking for new ways to engage our customers and introduce the brand to new audiences - we were thrilled with the reception our fans had to our cherry variant, and the bold flavours of blackberry and blackcurrant and rum felt like a natural fit.

"Our partnership with Kojey Radical highlights the importance of supporting the night-time economy and late-night event spaces, now more than ever.

"We're delighted to offer our support to the Music Venue Trust at this crucial time and look forward to a time soon when we can all enjoy live music together again."
