Krispy Kreme has been pulling out all the stops this year to get people to munch on their doughnuts.

People have been going wild after the company unveiled its latest collaboration, this time with the delicious, chocolaty and crunchy Maltesers.

If you want the specifics (you know you do), then the creation starts with an original glazed doughnut, which is then dressed with smooth chocolate ganache and topped with some Maltesers chocolate on top.

Sounds pretty delicious.

Krispy Kreme food technologist Tasha Kaur said their main goal was to create 'the ultimate chocolate doughnut'.

"After plenty of product trials and taste testing, we're thrilled to finally share our creation with the chocolate lovers of Australia," she said.

They'll be in Krispy Kreme stores from today until April 27 before they go live in 7-Eleven stores on March 6 until April 2.

It comes hot off the back of Krispy Kreme's collaboration with the incredible Rick and Morty TV show.

Out of all the doughnuts on offer, the 'Pickle Rick' flavour - named in honour of an episode from season three, episode three, which sees titular scientist Rick Sanchez turning himself into a pickle to avoid family therapy - has certainly grabbed our attention.

The company is reassuring us that the doughnut definitely doesn't taste like a pickle, which probably comes as something of a relief to most fans. Instead, Krispy Kreme says this creation comes 'from a reality where pickles taste like lemon crème and white choc'.

In addition to this brilliant culinary concoction, the company has also released the Simple Rick's Wafer Cookie Doughnut and the Strawberry Smiggles Doughnut.

The first will fill your tastebuds with vanilla creme and strawberry truffle, while the Smiggles doughnut is topped with mini marshmallows and meringue chunks with a strawberry filling.

But if you're a little thirsty, then Krispy Kreme has you sorted with a Fleeb Juice milkshake.

Fans of the show will remember fleebs from 'Cable 2: Tempting Fate' in Season 2. They are living beings that are used as a tool for making Plumbuses (duh). When it needs to, it excretes a juice called Fleeb Juice (obviously).

This creation is a mixture of raspberry and 'blue heaven' flavours.
