You Can Now Let Someone Know You Love Them With A Yorkshire Pudding

What could be more romantic?

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so you're running out of time to plan a grand, romantic gesture.

Fortunately, Aunt Bessie and her posse of pudding-makers are on the case. All you need to do is set the table, light a candle and bang a tray of heart-shaped Yorkshires in the oven, and voila - a night of romance is guaranteed.

The hearty puds are described as the perfect easy-to-prepare side dish, as they only take five minutes to cook, freeing up loads more time for, you know, whatever you fancy getting up to. Though if you really are a proper pud lover, you could get several packs and make those Yorkshires the main event (with the addition of gravy, of course).

You'll be reassured to hear that Aunt Bessie has stuck to her tried and tested recipe for the love puddings - the same recipe used since 1995.

The hearts come in packs of six and are priced at £1.50 and can be found in ASDA and Morrisons.

So that's only 75p per head for three puddings each, which makes it all the more easy to treat: "Don't you worry sweetie, I got this."

Or if you're feeling frugal and polypuddingamarous, you could invite round a third guest and have two each for 50p.

Hannah Haas, Head of Marketing, said: "Our new heart-shaped Yorkshire puddings are a first for Aunt Bessie's and have been created for customers looking to add a special touch to mealtimes.

"Whether it be a traditional Sunday roast or a quick mid-week meal our heart-shaped Yorkshires will be sure to impress whatever the occasion."

If you want to get out the house this Valentine's Day though, but still want to keep your flirting frugal, then a Wetherspoon pub is the place to be, of course.

For just £20, the British chain is offering couples a selection of mains - including steak, two drinks and two desserts. Even by their standards this is a bargain, with two steaks alone normally costing you £20. But if steak isn't really your thing though, you can choose from BBQ ribs, a mixed grill, or a Mediterranean vegetable lasagne.

The desserts on offer include warm cookie dough sandwich with ice cream and a chocolate brownie. And don't worry, you won't have to go through this sober - heaven forbid - the usual wines, spirits with mixer, lagers, ales and ciders are all part of the deal.

So there's your dining options sorted. But don't worry if you haven't got a present yet, we've got your back: introducing the Poundland vibrator.

You. Are. Welcome.
