Lidl Launches Four-In-One Easter Egg Inspired By Classic Desserts

As Easter rolls around it can be tricky to work out what egg you want to ask your mum for (look, you can pretend all you like that you're a grown-a*s adult who buys their own these days, but we all know that's not the score).
But fortunately this year there's a way to be particularly sneaky by asking for not one but FOUR Easter eggs, as Lidl has released a brand new Ultimate Dessert 4-in-1 Easter Egg to give you a quadruple hit of chocolate this spring.
The product takes inspiration from classic desserts, with an outer layer promising tiramisu-flavoured milk chocolate, which will no doubt be a big hit with coffee lovers.
Bite through that outer shell and you'll reach a rick dark chocolate layer studded with sour cherries - this one's inspired by black forest gateau.
Then you can work your way through a third panna cotta-flavoured layer crafted from sweet white chocolate and pistachios, before finally reaching the smallest piece of the puzzle: a milk chocolate egg dusted in gold packing a salted caramel filling.
The decadent egg launches in stores on 16 March, and will set you back £9.99 ($12.26) - a pretty good bargain, considering how much chocolate you get inside.
Mind you, if the idea of that much chocolate fills you with dread rather than sheer joy, that doesn't mean you have to miss out on an Easter egg altogether.
This year you could swerve the sweet treats on shelves and opt instead for something altogether more savoury, as Walkers has launched a new crisp-based Easter egg.
The online description reads: "Each gift box is ideal to share between 2-4 people. It includes Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli Crisps (150g), a 75cl bottle of perfectly paired organic Malbec, two stemless wine glasses and a sustainable bamboo sharing bowl.
