Maccies Fans Gutted That Reduced Menu Excludes Breakfast Items

Presumably you've heard the good news by now - Maccies is reopening some of its stores for delivery. Ah, music to our ears.

At least, you'd think so, but some people are never happy. After news emerged that 15 restaurants (yes, that's what we call them) will be serving food again from 13 May, it seems some people still have a bit of a gripe.

This particular complaint is that the new reduced menu doesn't include breakfast goods, which means we'll have to wait a bit longer before Maccies' hangover cures (our words, not theirs) are reintroduced back into stores.

While the chain is still offering up a lot of its classics, including the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, and those famous little nug-nugs - aka Chicken McNuggets - there is a distinct lack of McMuffins.

Social media is understandably devastated.

One person, who clearly let emotion get the better of them, wrote: "McDonald's reopening but with no breakfast menu? Get yerselves to f***!"

Others were equally as emotionally destroyed:

Other comments included: "No breakfast! They can stay shut for me then," and a very straightforward: "Have a word... no breakfast!!!!"

The fast-food giant announced earlier today that it would be launching a gradual reopening of its stores.

For the time being, you'll only be able to order through UberEats and JustEat, not the McDonald's app, and there is likely to be a delivery fee - it'll be worth every penny though.

Although there's no word yet on which restaurants will be reopening, bosses have said a list will be put out closer to the relaunch date.

Opening hours will also be reduced, meaning restaurants will serve between 11am and 10pm - looks like that lockdown Maccies breakfast will have to wait.
