Mars won't be selling Celebrations advent calendars this year, according to The Sun.
The publication said the confectionery manufacturer confirmed it would be scrapping the chocolate countdown this year - though an explanation hadn't been offered at the time of publication.
Perhaps the choco company just couldn't be ars*d with the inevitable drama that advent calendar stirs up every year - but it sounds like it has something else up its sleeve this time around.

A Mars spokesperson told LADbible: "We were deeply saddened by the Bounty hate last Christmas.
"We stand fully behind our favourite coconut confection and say to the nation: you don't know what you've got until it's gone!
"Fear not, Celebrations fans - for we're launching something very special this Wednesday... #LonelyBounty."
Well that sounds ominous.

The Christmas before last, Mars was accused of 'ruining Christmas' after it kicked off the countdown with two Bountys in a row.
Of course, some people must like Bountys, otherwise surely the coconutty chocolate would have been cut from the Celebrations crew by now.
Invariably though, Celebration tubs end up looking pretty sparse pretty quickly, with just a s***load of Bountys left behind.
As such, people didn't think kicking off festivities with back-to-back Bountys was an appropriate way to get the festive spirit flowing.
One angry calendar purchaser tweeted: "This advent calendar could not have started any worse!! Who is the troll at Celebrations starting the month with TWO BOUNTYS????"

Another added: "Was excited to open my advent calendar to start the festivities and I get greeted by a BOUNTY. Way to ruin Christmas, Celebrations. Thanks, I hate it."
A third added: "2 days into our Celebrations advent calendar and we've had two bountys... not impressed."
Celebrations' social media team seemed to enjoy the furore though, trolling those who were up in arms.
Further down the line, others were dismayed to find they'd had to wait 12 days to reach a Maltesers, the top tier chocolate of the Celebrations world.

Last year, Mars decided to make amends, sticking Maltesers in at day one.
Announcing the change of tack, Celebrations tweeted: "We've listened, we've learnt, we've changed!
"You wanted Maltesers behind door number 1 this year... we got ya! Enjoy the nation's favourite Celebrations chocolate!"
