McDonald's Is Giving Away Free McMuffins This Weekend

It's Friday - well done, you've made it to the end of the first week of 2020. And right about now, plenty of you will be starting your 'new year new me' plan and cutting down on junk food.

If you're forgoing the healthy eating malarkey, however, then you're in luck, as McDonald's is giving out free breakfast McMuffins to customers this Sunday (5 January).

But that's not all. Before that, on Saturday (4 Jan), you can also enjoy a Big Mac for 99p, which represents a saving of around £2.40 on the average price of the burger.

And if you don't eat meat, you can get a Vegetable Deluxe for the same price.

Then, on Monday (6 Jan), customers will be able to grab either Veggie Dippers or a Vegetable Deluxe for less than a quid.

This is part of the fast-food giant's 24 deals in 23 days, which is available exclusively through the Maccies app, so you will need to download it before you try and get in on these offers. You can do that here.

Customers can also use the app to customise orders and get table service in the restaurants, which is pretty fancy, eh?

Ben Fox, marketing director for McDonald's UK and Ireland said: "We're excited to offer customers 24 deals over 23 days to brighten up the month of January.

"The daily deals are exclusively available through the My McDonald's App, which also enables our customers to beat the queue, enjoy table service, customise orders and remember their favourite orders."

This news comes after McDonald's announced it was giving out free coffee throughout January.

The deal is available to new users on the app, and could be worth up to £1.79 if you have expensive taste and go for the cappuccino.

Maccies has also made its loyalty scheme more generous on the app.

A spokesperson told LADbible: "On 1 January, we made our coffee loyalty scheme a bit more generous through our app - we're seeing so many commuters buying coffees using the app that we want to reward everyone with the miserable month of Jan!

"So with the cup stickers you buy six and get the seventh free - if you order through the app you'll buy five and get the sixth free.

"Also for all new app users, we will give away a free McCafé hot drink through the app too until 31 January."
