McDonald's Is Launching A Chicken Sandwich Made With A Naan Bun
McDonald's is set to add a new exciting offering to its impressive roster of meaty treats. And it looks incredible.
Breaking away from the traditional bun, the fast-food giant is launching a new chicken burger made with naan.
According to reports, the Indian Chicken will feature two Chicken Selects with an Indian-style relish, garlic mayo, red onion, lettuce, and cucumber.
And it is all sandwiched between two mini garlic naan buns.
The Indian Chicken burger will land in stores across the UK on 25 September, but you'll have to be quick if you want to get your hands on one as they will only be available until 22 October.
It is being launched as part of McDonald's Great Tastes of the World promotion and will set you back £4.19 for the individual sandwich or £5.89 as a medium meal.
But the Indian Chicken isn't the only exciting new flavour on offer. Over the next two months, customers will be able to pick up a selection of burgers from all four corners of the globe.
As part of the range, McDonald's has also confirmed it will be releasing a new version of the Canadian Melt, which hasn't been on the menu for the past four years.
Called the Canadian Stack, it will come complete with a new bun, maple BBQ sauce, two beef burgers, cheese, and smokey bacon. It will be available from 9 to 22 October.
The French Stack with Garlic Mayo will be on the men from 25 September to 8 October, then it's the turn of the Swiss Stack with Emmental Cheese Sauce, which will land on 23 October before ending on 5 November.
Making up the rest of the new promotional menu are the Italian Stack with Pesto Style Mayo (6 November 6 - 19 November) and the Jamaican Chicken with Spicy Jerk Sauce (23 October 23 - 19 November).
The rest of the menu will be priced at £4.39 for the sandwich and £5.99 for the meal deal.
But not everyone is so happy with Maccies antics. Residents of the only county in England to not have its own McDonald's are angry over proposed plans to open one there.
Rutland, which is England's smallest county if you're interested, has never been home to one of the 1,249 Maccies restaurants in the UK but now council bosses are considering a planning application for a Drive-Thru in the town of Oakham.
And it turns out that a lot of residents aren't happy about the idea of having one of their doorsteps, with some saying the Golden Arches aren't in keeping with the traditions of the historic market town.
