McDonald's Is Launching Limited Edition Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets

McDonald's is launching Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets - which is clearly very exciting.

The new limited edition nugs are launching on 30 December and represent the 'tastiest way to start 2021'.

The nuggets - which will be around for six weeks - are made from 100 percent chicken breast meat in a crispy katsu curry panko breadcrumb coating, served with Maccies' sweet curry dip.

Announcing the nugget news, the fast food giants said: "What happens when you take two modern icons in the shape of katsu curry and chicken McNuggets, and bring them together for the first time?

"The new limited edition Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets are a match made in heaven and everything you didn't know you needed until this very moment.

"Hitting our restaurants on the 30 December, they are the tastiest way to wave goodbye to 2020 and start the new year as you mean to go on!

"If you want to try them then you'll have to be quick, as they're around for just six weeks."

You'll be able to pick up six Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets for £3.59, nine Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets for £4.09 or 20 Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets for £5.99.

In the meantime, you can be getting stuck into the seasonal offerings from the Maccies festive menu, which is available until Tuesday 29 December.

The menu features the likes of a Celebrations McFlurry, a Double Big Mac, a Jamaican Jerk Chicken Sandwich and a Salted Caramel Latte.

The Double Big Mac, as you can probably guess from the name, has double the amount of beef patties as your bog-standard Big Mac, plus cheese, lettuce, onions, gherkins and Big Mac sauce.

It's the biggest burger McDonald's has ever sold, so if you want to get your hands on a bit of history you can for £4.19 for the burger on its own or make it a meal, with a side and drink, for £5.69.

The Jamaican Jerk Chicken Sandwich consists of two pieces of crispy chicken with a spicy jerk sauce, Beechwood smoked bacon, Pepper Jack cheese, slivered onion and lettuce served in a sourdough bun - which is £4.39 on its own, or £5.69 for a meal.

To really get you in the festive mood there's also a Celebrations McFlurry, which combines the usual super-soft McFlurry ice cream with Maltesers clusters, Galaxy chocolate drops, Caramel pieces, Mars Nuggets and Twix biscuits all topped with a milk chocolate sauce.

The full-sized version is £1.39 of you can get a mini for 99p.

If that's not enough sweet treats for ya, the Salted Caramel Latte is back for £1.69.

Cheese Melt Dippers are also back on the menu - you can get four cheese dippers made with indulgent camembert, served with a tangy tomato dip for £1.79 or opt for the share box which costs £4.79.
