You know when you manage to make it to Maccies for your hangover scran and the existential fear of making verbal contact with actual humans is too much? Well, just think of that as a thing of the past, because you can now order table service in the company's UK restaurants via the app.
That's right, you no longer need to make contact to order OR to receive your food. Although it would be pretty rude if you didn't at least say a quick thanks as you chow down on your Big Mac.

Every single one of the company's 1,249 UK branches has now added numbers to their tables, not unlike the system at Wetherspoons.
To use the new table service feature, you'll need to download the free McDonald's app. Then all you need to do is select 'eat in' and then 'table service' as your collection method. Then you add the number of your table, pay for the food, and hey presto - zero human interaction fast food. What a time to be alive.
To order to your table you need to be within 100 metres of the restaurant, but you can order in advance or as you arrive, because obvs you need the table number.
The chain trialled the scheme at its High Street Kensington branch, when the new fancy 'Signature' burger was launched.

Alternatively, you can buy four of them £3.29.
Thomas O'Neill, head of food marketing at McDonald's UK and Ireland, said: "In the last 12 months we've seen an 80 percent uplift in customers ordering vegetarian options at McDonald's, so it is time for the brand famous for the dippable McNugget to launch a dippable option for our vegetarian, vegan and flexitarian customers."
