The time has finally arrived, LADs - Nandos has announced it will be starting a home delivery service from a small number of restaurants.

Food will be served via Deliveroo as of today from six restaurants - two in Manchester and four in London. More are gradually expected to open over the next few weeks.

Our dreams are coming true.
Nando's

The decision has been made to start offering the home delivery after Nando's successfully served over 10,000 meals to local charities and NHS workers in the past week. Food will continue to be donated to these causes despite the home delivery being available.

The restaurants will be offering a reduced delivery menu via Deliveroo but PERi-PERi fans in other parts of the UK and Ireland will have to wait a little longer before they get their Nando's fix.

According to a press release, if the first phase of the re-opening is successful then more restaurants will follow suit.

The restaurants will be in London and Manchester.

The six chosen eateries that will be opening are going to be operating behind closed doors and will not be offering eat in or collect services at the moment.

The menu is going to be reduced to help the team maintain social distance in the kitchen and food prep areas, but never fear as the majority of Nando's favourites such as PERi-PERi chicken wings, halloumi and PERi chips will be available to enjoy at home.

The restaurant teams will also be working with Deliveroo to make sure that deliveries are as safe as possible, drivers will maintain social distancing while waiting to pick up orders, restaurant staff will hand over food while maintaining social distance and contactless delivery will be available upon request.

Can't wait to get your hands on this? Us either.
Nando's

This will be the first time that Nando's has opened its kitchens to the public since closing on 23 March following the government's plea for everyone to Stay Home, Protect the NHS and Save Lives.

Nando's hope that as many people as possible in London and Manchester are able to satisfy their cravings.

Those who can't wait to get a PERi-PERi fix should check out Nando's new cook-along series on Instagram, this week Aitch will be bringing the heat home and cooking his favourite Nando's dishes from 7pm on Thursday 30 April.
