Nestlé Launches First New Quality Street Product In Almost 85 Years

Nestlé Launches First New Quality Street Product In Almost 85 Years

Nestlé has launched the first new Quality Street product in almost 85 years.

Naturally, after almost a century of waiting, you're going to be intrigued about what's being offered up - which is apt, as the new range is called 'Quality Street Intrigue'.

The range is comprised of three different varieties of truffles inspired by classic Quality Street flavours.

First up, you've got the salted caramel truffles, which supposedly 'pay tribute to the iconic Mackintosh caramel toffee'. Unsurprisingly, they come with a salted caramel flavoured centre and a milk chocolate coating, dipped in crunchy salted caramel pieces. Yum.

Then there's the praline variety, which is apparently the love child of the Green Triangle and the Purple One. They have a smooth praline centre, as well as a chocolate coating covered in hazelnut pieces.

Lastly, there's the orange variety, which takes its inspiration from orange creme, and promises a 'tantalising burst of citrus'.

The salted caramel and the praline truffles will be available in Morrisons and Asda stores nationwide from the beginning of March, before arriving in Tesco stores a month later, while the orange variety is exclusive to Asda.

Rebecca Holt, brand manager for Quality Street, said: "Quality Street is a much-loved UK brand; and we know many fans would love to enjoy more of it all year round. That's why we've created a product that will enable consumers to experience Quality Street in a brand-new way.

"With Intrigue, we've taken the essence of Quality Street and added a contemporary twist. Intrigue combines classic Quality Street elements such as praline, caramel and fruit, with a delicious truffle centre. Perfect as a gift whatever the occasion, we think this new product is very special indeed.

"We hope it will delight Quality Street fans as well as introduce new consumers to the brand."

Each 200g box is comprised of 20 individually wrapped truffles and has an RRP of £5.00 ($6.44).
