We know Americans are fond of their pumpkin spiced lattes, and now the quirky flavour has come to Oz...in Slurpee form.

As the spookiest day of the year creeps closer, 7-Eleven has revealed their latest flavour to celebrate Halloween: Pumpkin Spice Latte Slurpee.

If you're wondering what on earth pumpkin spice flavour consists of, Delicious says it's comprised of 'pumpkin and warm spices, such as nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and clove. It is said to taste sweet and caramelly, like a pumpkin pie dessert'.

And while pumpkin spice lattes have undoubtedly gained a devout cult following abroad - particularly in the US - the evolution into its ice-cold Slurpee form comes as an alternative for those Down Under who want to beat the heat with the bizarre beverage that's said to have a 'creamy twist'.

Upon the announcement Aussies were divided over the flavour addition, with one Twitter user commenting: "Love me some pumpkin spice but SLURPEE?!"

Others embraced the new flavour, adding their own twist on the old 'pumpkin spiced latte and Ugg boots' stereotype in the US, with another user declaring: "I'm gonna look for flannel flip flops & a pumpkin spice Slurpee."

Another Aussie on Facebook had already began planning how to use the new flavour, writing on Facebook: "This + vodka would = punch right?"

Either way, 7-Eleven are positive that Aussies will enjoy the 'sought-after' flavour.

"We've witnessed the hype that is all-things Pumpkin Spice in the US and have listened to the cry of Aussies in true 7-Eleven style," a 7/11 spokesperson said, adding, "Our new Pumpkin Spice Latte Slurpee is set to be a highly sought-after flavour this Halloween, but it won't be around for long."

The drink will only be available for a limited time so if you're keen on whacking it down your gob then tuck in.
