A diner has slammed a restaurant at Heathrow Airport for serving up a 'pathetic' ham and cheese toastie.

Hannah Bennett couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the measly meal she was served. To make matters worse, the toastie set the traveller back a cool £8.25.

While we all know that buying food or drinks at the airport are expensive, you'd hope that you're getting a little bang for your buck.

Hannah uploaded a picture of her meal to Rate My Plate, where it was criticised, mocked and laughed at by loads of people.

She added a caption, which said: "Pathetic excuse for a meal. Not personally sure what the stick is actually doing as it's not structural."

People could believe Hannah forked out nearly a tenner for the dish.

One social media user said: "Oh wow. I wouldn't even embarrass myself by serving that! Shame on them. Hope you got a refund."

Another added: "Daylight robbery. Gatwick's not far off the same either."

A third said: "You'd get more for your money even on a Ryanair flight. That's a disgrace to be honest."

A spokesperson from The Restaurant Group, which owns the pub, said: 'We are disappointed to hear that certain customers were not satisfied with their experience in one of our sites. We pride ourselves on value, quality and experience across our portfolio and so we will be looking into these specific comments."
