Yep, you read that correctly - popcorn salad. And if that's not weird enough, it also contains peas.

Cookbook writer and blogger Molly Yeh shared the recipe for the unusual dish of Crunchy Snap Pea Popcorn Salad on her Food Network show.
In the clip, Yeh tries to convince viewers that the 'texture of the popcorn is so weirdly good'.
She can be seen before mixing in a load of popcorn, which is flavoured with cheese powder, with mayonnaise, peas and shredded vegetables - a bit like coleslaw - before topping with watercress and celery leaves.
Sounds... interesting, eh?
After lumping the whole lot into a bowl, she says: "See, it looks like you're going to get a salad, but if you look underneath you'll see a pile of popcorn.

"This is my kind of salad.
"I'm going to taste it, and this is a salad you eat with a spoon."
She then helps herself to a large mouthful, before adding: "That is crunch on crunch on crunch, and I love the white cheddar powder.
"This salad is going to crunch... I mean, crush, at our party."

The clip then cuts to Yeh's pal who unenthusiastically hails the salad as 'surprisingly delicious'. Well, I guess I'm going to have to take your word for that.
The original recipe was aired on the Food Network but has since resurfaced after it was shared on Twitter where it horrified social media users.
One person wrote: "Popcorn, Mayo AND cheese?????!!!! The toilet gonna be crying for weeks if you bring this out."
Someone else added: "If you bring me out some soggy mayo popcorn I will be going to jail that day."

Another said: "Like, I'm all for people enjoying whatever food they want... but popcorn SALAD???"
A third person joked that they were 'calling the police' while another commented: "No way this is a real recipe. Got to be a parody."
An angry popcorn lover added: "This video has infuriated me. Ruined my Sunday. Why is she doing that?"
Maybe don't knock it until you've tried it?
