We've all been there. Beered out and a few gins down when out on the lash, and you've somehow ended up snapchatting six of your exs at 3am on a Thursday.
The feeling of dread when you sober up is as cheap as that Primark shirt. There may be a scientific reason behind this, though, as a new study by The Global Drug Survey has found that drinking spirits is strongly associated with aggressive feelings.
Uh-oh, this doesn't sound good for gin, vodka or rum lovers.

The study, first noticed by VICE, found that nearly a third of spirit drinkers reported that they feel aggressive when they have a tipple or two, which was more than 20% higher than those who drink beer, red wine or white wine.
Co-author of the study, Professor Mark Bellis, revealed: "For centuries, the history of rum, gin, vodka, and other spirits has been laced with violence.
"This global study suggests even today consuming spirits is more likely to result in feelings of aggression than other drinks."

Since the 18th century, gin especially has been associated with poverty, madness, depression and death, backing up these findings.
Researchers also discovered that males were much more likely to experience feelings of aggression while they drink.
Beer and white wine drinkers were least likely to have angry feelings when they drink, and instead were more likely to feel relaxed and confident.

Red wine supposedly makes you more tired. Spirits were found to have a more emotional response - 58.36 percent felt energised, 59.08% felt confident, 42.42% felt in the mood to get jiggy, 29.83% felt aggressive, 47.82% felt ill, 27.81% felt restless and 22.24 felt tearful.
Well, there you have it.
