People around the world have been bowled over by the Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness.

It delves deep into the life of Joe Exotic, real name Joe Maldonado-Passage, who owns a big cat animal park in Oklahoma.

While that might only pique the interest of a few people, it's worth mentioning he's a gun-toting polygamist who is currently serving time in jail for ordering a hit on his arch rival Carole Baskin as well as 17 federal charges of animal abuse.

The show is a wild ride through the outlandish world of big cat ownership in America. It's spawned tons of stories, theories, memes and now... cakes.

A Publix supermarket in Florida has created three iconic cakes that were inspired by the documentary series.

The cake decorator is unknown, however their efforts are trending around the world.

Whether you're a tiger fan, someone in Carole Baskin's corner or a staunch defender of Joe Exotic, you could have a chance at eating a cake with their likeness.

Publix is well known in the US to bust out a fancy decorated cake for any occasion, however the mastery of this (as well as the fact it's only USD$9.99) is unbelievable.

The company told WJCT: "We have very talented cake decorators at our Publix Bakeries.

"We work towards providing our customers the products and services they are looking for and are grateful for the opportunity to be creative and be part of every occasion.

"If customers should have a special request, they should speak with the bakery manager or cake decorator. We strive to find balance between creativity and sensitivity to the realities we are facing. We do have customers looking for levity and an opportunity to smile."

Everyone is still waiting on that new episode of Tiger King that Jeff Lowe promoted.

The new owner of the G.W Zoo that Joe Exotic founded announced the news in a video, where he says: "Hey...this is Jeff and Lauren from the Tiger King show on Netflix. Thanks for watching our show.

"Netflix is adding one more episode. It will be on next week. We're filming here tomorrow."

We're also excited at a new documentary series from Investigation Discovery (ID), which will explore the disappearance of Carole Baskin's ex-husband Jack 'Don' Lewis.

The channel said in a statement: "Love her or hate her, Carole is now in the centre ring of the big cat circus.

Netflix

"Is she a selfless crusader and protector of animals, who found unimaginable strength despite the mysterious disappearance of her husband? Or are we witnessing Carole Baskin's master plan finally take effect?

"Despite her claims of innocence, did she orchestrate the disappearance of Don Lewis to seize control of his fortune, consolidate power and lay waste to her foes?

"No one seems to be talking - except for one man - and that man is the centre of ID's upcoming investigative series."

ID adds that the spin-off series will be 'the investigation you didn't get to see, revealing the secrets only Joe knows and the exclusive footage that has never been shown'.
