Subway Launches Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread In US And It Looks Immense

You'd have thought it would be tricky to top the humble Subway sandwich, which is pretty much perfect every time you order it because you're able to personalise it exactly how you like it.

Italian BMT on Italian bread with honey mustard sauce and all the trimmings bar red onion? Coming right up. Chicken Teriyaki on Italian herb and cheese bread with light mayonnaise, sweetcorn and peppers? That's a disgusting and slightly concerning order, but yep, it's all yours!

But while we thought our impeccable ordering couldn't get any more perfect, Subway has added an option that might just shake everything up.

Imagine your Meatball Marinara fix tucked up in that bad boy. How happy it would be. How snug and cheesy and delicious.

Subway has launched the new bread option over in the States, where it's available until 27 February.

Len Van Popering, vice president of global brand and innovation at Subway, said in a press release: "When people first hear about the New Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread, they usually tell us we had them at hello... Pairing two of our most iconic sandwiches with arguably the most delicious cheesy garlic bread ever served delivers a flavor experience unlike anything in the market today."

We're hoping that a Christmas miracle might prompt Subway bosses to consider launching it elsewhere in the world soon, because frankly we all need that delicious cheesy goodness in our lives.

In the meantime, Subway fans in the UK will just have to settle with the new(ish) 99p money saver menu, which features hash browns, nachos, a chorizo flatbread pizza and a taco beef mini wrap.

Or, if you're feeling more like blowing the budget than scrimping and saving, you could go for the giant six-foot-long subway, which was launched earlier this year.

According to Subway, the BMT version that has been made in training includes '680g of lettuce, 96 slices of tomato, 96 slices of cucumber, 96 slices of pickle, 96 slices of olive, 227g of onion, 96 slices of green pepper, 64 slices of ham, 96 slices of pepperoni, 96 slices of salami and 64 triangles of American-style cheese'. Dreamy.

Mind you, before you start planning one for your next cheat day, maybe bear in mind that this one's supposed to be split between a group of 25 people...
