Subway is to start offering crisp butties as part of its menu from today.

The sarnie chain will be giving customers the option of having 'crisps in' or 'crisps out' with their order.

Those who choose to have a bit of crunch with their meal will be given a helping of Walkers Ready Salted crisps.

The exciting new addition will set you back an extra 20p, however, if you want the chance to experience the taste sensation, you will have to move quickly because it won't be a permanent fixture to the menu.

Crisp sandwiches will only be available until 23 May.

But while a few crisps on top of your sarnie sounds like a an absolute delight, one customer shocked Subway workers recently when they completely ruined their order. Ruined it.

The server filmed the pretty bizarre request from a customer who wanted her sub absolutely drenched in sauce. And when I say, 'absolutely drenched', I mean drenched.

TikTok user Summer Dawn, who goes by @immommyanddaddy2, shared the unusual order in a clip that has since been viewed millions of times.

The customer, who we can only assume is having the employee on, can be heard saying she wants the worker to 'drown' the sandwich until it is 'oozing' with the creamy sriracha sauce.

And as anyone who goes to Subway will know, you pretty much get whatever you ask for.

As the clip continues, the woman can be heard saying: "Yes, more, more" while the sandwich artist goes ape with the bottle of sauce.

Eventually the customer says: "All right, that's good," right before adding: "Actually, a little more."

Fairly understandably, the weird footage left people reeling, with many on social media scratching their heads as to why someone would do that to their food.

One viewer said: "That ain't a sandwich no more, that's just dressing."

Another joked: "Oh hell nah, 90 percent sauce, 10 percent sub."

"Should have just gave her the bottle at that point," put a third.

But some were quite impressed by her strange demand.

Backing her corner, one commented: "It takes a lot of confidence to ask for 'more' in a Subway like that."

Sadly, though, underwhelming and disappointing orders are nothing new.

A couple of years back, one woman, a little worse for wear it's fair to say, ordered a cheese, olive and cucumber sandwich.

And so unusual was it that the Subway worker actually stopped what he was doing and took a photo of it.
