Dreams do come true

Wonderful news everybody; Krispy Kreme's very first DIY doughnut station has come to the UK to make all your sugar-filled dreams come true.

Yup, now you be the master of your own doughnut-destiny and create the sweet-treat of your dreams. See, 2018 isn't all bad, is it?

If you're not lucky enough to live in Birmingham then you're going to need to take a trip there, because the station has opened in Selfridges central Birmingham branch and it looks pretty bloody beautiful.

I don't care how long it takes you to get to Birmingham, you know it's going to be worth the trip, don't you?

The DIY station allows lucky punters the chance to completely customise their Krispy Kremes. For starters you choose whether you want a chocolate, crème or jam filled doughnut, you can then have it covered with icing or chocolate and finally you can choose from an impressive list of toppings to lash all over it.

There's so many different potential combinations, whether you opt for something you've always fancied or use Krispy Kreme's own signature doughnuts for some inspiration; I reckon it's time to unleash your inner Homer Simpson and get trying out some combos.

Speaking of The Simpsons, earlier this year, Krispy Kreme in Australia released the D'ohnut - an exact copy of the pink, ring doughnut with sprinkles that features in the show.

Fans of the show were finally able to get a taste of Homer's favourite and find out for themselves if it was worth selling his soul for. What a time to be alive.

Now, thanks to the DIY station, it looks like we might be able to recreate these bad boys ourselves - or have a lot of delicious fun trying, at least.

Right, I'm off to book some train tickets to Birmingham, see you there, yeah?
