Cafe Offers £1 Fry-Ups To Help Struggling Families

Although a £1 fry-up might seem like the stuff of dreams, Poundcafé is now making this a reality by offering cheap AF breakfasts

There have been numerous debates over what the traditional fry-up should contain. Many of us can agree that sausages, eggs, beans, bacon, and tomatoes are the essentials, as well as add-ons like hash browns, mushrooms, toast, and black pudding.

However, you don't hear people debating the price of an English breakfast as often. What's the perfect charge for a delicious plate of the greasy hangover elixir? Ideally it would be free - but surely the next best thing would be £1.

Although a one pound fry-up might seem like the stuff of dreams, a budget cafe is now making this a reality by offering cheap AF breakfasts in order to help out struggling families.

Poundcafé

In what might be the best news we've heard all week, the restaurant chain Poundcafé is re-introducing its £1 brekkie menu option, which comprises a number of dishes including a traditional fry-up.

Metro reports that for this low price, customers can pick up to four items from a choice of egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown, baked beans or tomato. If that doesn't quite hit the spot, extra items can be added for a mere 25p!

And if that weren't enough to get those saliva glands pumping, the entire thing comes with a choice of a free tea or coffee. Other options on the £1 menu include a buttered toasted teacake, a cheese sandwich, or a pastry with baked beans.

While these all sound like they'd beat those hunger pangs into submission, it's clear the fry-up is the MVP here.

So next time you're hanging out of your butthole or if you're stuck with a hungry family on a Saturday morning, surely the only place to head is one of the Poundcafé branches.

The only downside (for Southerners anyway) is the cafe operates only in ten branches dotted around the north-west of England and Wales. But if you live in the area or you're visiting some friends, be sure to pop in and nab yourself a £1 fry-up - it's an absolute steal.

And if you don't have access to a Poundcafé, guess you're going to have to splash out and spend an extra couple of quid for that greasy plate of goodness. We're sure you'll live.
