Rejoice - it's 'Cheese Lovers Day'. Which if we're honest, basically translates as 'Everyone But Vegans Day'... though no doubt many vegans also have a repressed love of the stuff.
Obviously, many of us celebrate our love of cheese throughout the year, but that just means we have to push the boat out even further on this special day.

But while we all agree that cheese is fantastic, we will no doubt all celebrate this cheesy day in different ways.
For many, the dairy delight doesn't come any better than in its simplest form - as a big hunk of cheddar. Whether you grate it on pasta, melt it in a toastie or just gnaw on it like a massive rat, the stuff is divine... though if you go for mild, then you obviously aren't mature.

Pizza-lovers will no doubt celebrate with a quattro formaggio with a cheese-stuffed crust.
The more sophisticated cheeseheads among you might grab yourself a nice wheel of Camembert, drizzle it in honey, and shove it in the oven, before dipping a bit of crusty bread in that melty heaven.
If you live somewhere where the weather isn't currently shit (not the UK), perhaps you could chuck some halloumi on the barbie? Or why not sit out in the garden with a bottle of wine and a fat cheese board, featuring the likes of brie, blue cheese and maybe even a goat's cheese? ... Again, that's not really an option at the minute for Brits.
But many cheese lovers don't care for the exotic or adventurous varieties as much as the most basic mass produced cheeses. Some love nothing more than a Cheestring, a Babybel or a bit of The Laughing Cow.

... Or are you one of those monsters who likes that cheese in a tube?
And if all this cheesy decadence makes you feel guilty with gluttony, take some comfort from a recent study, which found that cheese could be the key to a longer life.
Researchers from McMasters University in Canada found that those who indulged in more than two portions of cheese a day saw decreases in the chance of stroke and the risk of cardiovascular disease.
But if simply chewing on your favourite cheese feels like insufficient celebration of Cheese Lovers Day, then you could always head out to the Imsil Cheese Theme Park. Admittedly, you probably should have planned this already, as it's in South Korea - so maybe head out for Cheese Lovers Day 2020.

When you get there, you can make and eat mozzarella, visit a cave-like building where they age cheese, and learn all about the glorious process behind cheese production at the research centre.
