Melbourne Duo Creating Unofficial Seinfeld Video Game And It Looks Amazing

You can play as Jerry, George or Elaine in this 16-bit adventure and the first level sounds amazing.

A pair of Melbourne developers are creating a video game based on the Seinfeld TV show.

It's been nearly 22 years since we said goodbye to the Seinfeld sitcom and we've never been the same since.

Sure, there have been other hilarious TV shows created since, but the life and times of Jerry Seinfeld, Elaine Benes, George Costanza and Cosmo Kramer were brilliant.

But fear not: a Seinfeld video game may be on the horizon to let us relive some of our favourite characters in completely new way.

Ivan Dixon and Jacob Janerka have uploaded a trailer for their unofficial, 16-bit video game titled Seinfeld Adventure.

Each level will take about 30 minutes to complete, much like watching an episode of Seinfeld, and largely looks like a choose-your-own adventure style storyline.

You can play as George, Jerry or Elaine, but not Kramer because, according to the developers, 'no one can control Kramer'. True.

The premise for episode/level one has been released and, honestly, it sounds incredible.

"Jerry is dating a publicist who accidentally reveals his email address to Kenny Bania through a group email," the synopsis says.

"Now, Bania fills Jerry's inbox with a flurry of spam emails asking for feedback on his new stand-up set. Jerry decides to break up with the publicist over this, but he doesn't want to deal with the interaction face-to-face.

"Kramer suggests ending the relationship via email and avoiding it all together. Jerry does this before Elaine reminds him that the publicist was supposed to get them all tickets to the opening night of the new movie Rochelle, Rochelle 2.

"George devises a plan to corrupt Jerry's girlfriend's computer before she can read her emails so that they can still collect the tickets. Kramer says he knows who can help.

"Someone with a sworn vendetta against email. Someone who has devoted their whole life to analogue mail and sees email as a threat to his livelihood. Someone named Newman."

This genuinely sounds like a normal Seinfeld episode and we are so here for it. The best part is you get to choose how it ends.

Ivan Dixon and Jacob Janerka have a fairly decent resumé, having done animation work for The Simpsons, Adventure Time, Rick and Morty, and other legendary shows. The duo have also been involved with the likes of Fallout, Wolfenstein, Game of Thrones, and The Watchmen.

They're now turning their sights to Jerry Seinfeld and the show's co-creator Larry David to get the rights to bring this bad boy to life.

Once they get permission from the big wigs, they'll need some help either from a Kickstarter or a big investment to allow everyone to play Seinfeld Adventure.
