Study Shows 25% Of Men Want Sex With Porn Stars Rather Than Their Partners

Study Shows 25% Of Men Want Sex With Porn Stars Rather Than Their Partners

It's not the only worrying conclusion the study arrived at.

A new study has revealed that one in four men - that's a gigantic 25% - would rather have sex with the women that they see in pornography than with their partner.

Come on, guys. That's not a good look, is it?

Now, in 2018, porn is obviously a lot more visible than it has been in the past. Just 20 years ago, you would have had to rely on your family computer or a magazine that your mate found in a forest.

However, nowadays it is almost a given that people - women do it too - know about where to find and watch porn.

The study that made this worrying discovery, 'Porn Progressions: Analysing Pornography Consumption Over Time' set out to have a look at what we can learn from studying the porn watching habits of the general public.

They took quite a large sample of them too. A total of 1,200 men and women were surveyed to come up with these results.

As well as the worrying news that a large number of men would rather shag a porn star they've never met than someone they are in a loving relationship with, there were other shocking stats that emerged.

They had a look at the age at which people started watching pornography, men and women separately. The average age range at which males first started watching porn was 11 - 15. That's not supposed to happen.

The study found 38% of young males first encountered pornography at secondary school age. That's the age many women discovered porn too, although only 14.9% of them.

Oh, and 4.5% of males and 3.2% of females were exposed to pornography at an age younger than 11. That's just downright wrong.

It is becoming more well documented that porn can have a detrimental effect on levels of intimacy in a relationship. This study threw that into even more stark contrast.

Basically, the more porn that you watch, the more you will struggle to be aroused by your partner. That's perhaps something to do with the availability and variety that exists in the online porn realm.

The study found that the most popular category for all ages of males was amateur - and while that was the same for younger females, older women preferred threesomes.

A whopping 38.6% of men who watch porn six or seven times per week were found to lack arousal for their partner. That's no good.

In contrast, 37% of women who watched porn only once a week lack arousal for their partners. In fact, the data goes in separate directions for men and women. The more porn men watch, the less likely they become to be aroused by their partner, and vice versa.

In more encouraging news, 76.6% of people didn't struggle to be aroused by their partner.

Use this information wisely, folks. Everything in moderation, after all.
