Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi did a bit of moonlighting as an Uber Eats driver last weekend.
Khosrowshahi posted on Twitter to share his experiences as an Uber Eats driver, even revealing how much he made during the stint.
The CEO showed he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty and spent three-and-a-half hours as an undercover delivery driver last Saturday (26 June) before getting back on his bike on Sunday for another two hours.
Spent a few hours delivering for @UberEats. 1. SF is an absolutely beautiful town. 2. Restaurant workers were incredibly nice, every time. 3. It was busy!! - 3:24 delivering out of 3:30 online. 4. I'm hungry - time to order some :hamburger::fries::beer: pic.twitter.com/cXS1sVtGhS

Day 2 good - not as good as day 1. More downtown routes w traffic and apt drop offs a pain. More fast food, lower tips. @SFGiantsFans fan tried to kill me. Maybe he knew I'm a @Mets fan :raised_hands:. Super busy - 2:01 working from 2:02 online. And ... Picked up from my first dark store. pic.twitter.com/6Pp8r4MIIB

Khosrowshahi, who is worth an estimated $235 million (£170m), was able to pick up $149.54 (£108.41) after completing 16 deliveries in five and a half hours of work across the two days - an equivalent of $27 (£19.57) per hour.
Which, I'm sure is not much to compared to Khosrowshahi's usual hourly rate, but is above the federal minimum wage.
When asked by one follower if anyone happened to recognise him, he replied: "Benefits of masking up!"
Earlier this year, Khosrowshahi announced his company would 'absolutely' consider a cannabis delivery company if it became legal to do so.
Speaking to CNBC in April, Khosrowshahi said: "When the road is clear for cannabis, when federal laws come into play, we're absolutely going to take a look at it."
But he went on to say that until such a time comes, Uber's priority was on the food and drink market.
"We see so much opportunity out there, and we're going to focus on the opportunity at hand," Khosrowshahi added.
