Lolly lovers, rejoice! Allen's Lollies just made the Monday blues a little easier to swallow, if you like a little sour with your sweets, that is.

The iconic Aussie brand has announced it is turning its Snakes Alive lollies sour with the launch of Allen's Sourz Snakes Alive.

We're already addicted to the brand's other sweet treats, like stretchy Snakes, Strawberries & Cream, soft Bananas, Ripe Raspberries, and beloved Red Frogs, and we have a feeling these new tangy morsels will soon have you licking your lips and reaching for more.

The snakes will come in their original flavours: zesty lemon, luscious strawberry, juicy blackberry, tasty pineapple and sweet apricot, but the twist here is they'll have the addition of an added sour coating that's guaranteed to make your lips pucker.

Sour sweets really can be divisive, and people tend to have an either love them or hate them reaction, but Allen's thinks they'll go down a treat with fans.

"Snakes Alive are a long-time favourite with lolly fans, so we have combined this with the power of sour to blow Aussies away with these tasty new lollies," says Nestle's head of marketing confectionery Joyce Tan.

"We can't wait to see lolly lovers nationwide pull their best sour face when they try the new Sourz Snakes Alive - we're sure they're going to be a huge hit."

You can get your mitts on a packet of Allen's Sourz Snakes Alive in Woolworths later this month for just $2.95.

Last month, Allen's thrilled fans when it released standalone Milk Bottle packets which tasted like OAK Flavoured Milk.

The news came as music to the ears of people who like the creaminess and lovely texture of the lollies.

They come in Iced Coffee and Flavoured Milk like chocolate and strawberry and cost $2 at Coles, IGA and Woolworths
