Aussie Grandma Has Perfect Method Of Folding Fitted Sheet With Hills Hoist

This is the hack we never knew we needed.

Folding a fitted sheet is one of those things that everyone should really be taught how to do.

The elasticised corners make it really difficult for some people to get a nice, clean fold and most of those who struggle with this task will probably just wrap it up with no finesse and chuck it wherever it needs to go.

But, if you've been dying to find out how to best attack this tiny little house chore then let Amy Maree's mum sort you out.

The woman has posted a video to her TikTok account showing how a Hills Hoist or common clothesline will see you folding these bad boys like a pro in no time.

What you need to do it hang it up on the line perfectly in the middle so that an equal amount of sheet is hanging on either side.

Then you have to fold it from one side on the line inwards, then repeat on the other side. That should create a nice rectangular shape that becomes even more perfect when you repeat the second step again.

Once it's looking tiny enough on the line, you just need to drag it off the line and fold it in half and potentially half again to get it into a good size.

And there you have it: a perfectly folded fitted sheet that can go into your closet and make your parents proud that you can handle more of life's difficult chores.

Amy Maree's mum's trick has gone absolutely viral on social media, with the video being viewed nearly five million times on TikTok alone.

It's been hailed as a 'genius' hack to doing the laundry, with one person writing: "This is the best tutorial on folding that sheet ever."

Another person added: "This is the best tutorial on folding that sheet ever."

So, the next time you're doing your linen washing you should give this a whirl and see if it changes your life (okay, maybe not by much but still).
