Queensland Man Accused Of Shooting Three Pitbulls Dead Because They Attacked His Dog

A Queensland man has been accused of shooting three dogs dead with a bow and arrow.

Officers were called to a property in Heatley, Townsville in the early hours of Friday (May 29) morning.

They arrived to find multiple dogs had died.

A police spokesperson told news.com.au that three pit bulls attacked a golden retriever and mauled it to death.

The owner of the golden retriever reportedly lives next door to the pit bull owner and was devastated by what happened. He was also bitten when trying to get the dogs away from his pet.

The Townsville Bulletin reports the bloke was so incensed by what happened that he took matters into his own hands.

He allegedly grabbed a bow and arrow and shot the three dogs dead. Two were killed instantly while the third died later.

According to 7News, police are continuing to investigate the incident and haven't outlined whether charges will be laid. against the man with the bow and arrow.
