Arnott's Shapes are an iconic part of Australia's supermarket snack scene.

With a range of flavours, the bite-sized biscuits are legendary all across our sun-blessed country and will likely stay that way for decades to come.

But consumers have come up with a way to elevate the company to God tier if they do one simple thing.

Depending on the individual packet you get, you could get a decent helping of Shapes flavour seasoning on each biccie or it could be a little scant.

To remedy that situation, as well as improve literally any dish in existence, Arnott's is being called on to bring out Shapes-flavoured seasoning bottles.

Whenever Arnott's posts something on its Shapes Facebook page, they're usually flooded with suggestions to turn this idea into a delicious reality.

This was apparent when the company teased they had made Shapes-flavoured protein powder.

While it was all an elaborate ruse, it got people thinking how amazing it would be to have a tub of seasoning sitting in their pantry.

One energetic person wrote: "For the love of god!!!!! MAKE THE FLAVOURING IN SHAKERS!!! LIKE SALT AND PEPPER BUT INSTEAD PIZZA, BBQ, CRIMPY....CAN ADD AS MUCH AS YOU WANT!!!!!"

Another added: "Can you just give us bbq shape flavour (like the stuff you find in the bottom of the bag) in a shaker?"

A third said: "Okay but these as a seasoning salt..."

Arnott's divided opinion half a decade ago when they changed the way Shapes were produced for the masses.

Instead of the packets being injected with that delicious seasoning, the flavour was instead 'baked' into the biccies.

There were plenty of Change.org petitions that were begging Arnott's go back to their original methods, with one campaign getting nearly 29,000 signatures.

Arnott's isn't swayed by the criticism and company spokeswoman Nicky Thomson said they had tested the new flavours 'thousands, literally thousands, of Shapes fans'.

"And they told us they preferred the new flavours." she said. "We know that people don't always appreciate change, but we think we've made the best Shapes yet.

"Shapes were first designed in the 1950s and since then palates have changed and taste preferences are for bolder, stronger flavours," she said.

"Our chefs went away and explored how they could deliver it. One of the main problems we had was getting the flavour to stick onto the biscuits.

"We've solved this by employing new technology, which involves baking the flavour right into the biscuit and applying it to both sides.

"We also found that making the seasoning sprinkles smaller meant they stuck to the biscuit better."
