Company Is Offering A Gin Advent Calendar In Australia For Christmas

We're not even through Halloween and people are already gearing up for Christmas - however, one company has started doing gin advent calendars. After the year we've had, they sound pretty spot on.

Gin Loot features 24 little doors that each contain a 30ml bottle of gin and every single day has a different type.

There are two dozen premium gins from Australia, New Zealand, France, UK, Sweden and Israel hidden inside, bound to wash away the rough day during the silly season.

Some of the brands include Archie Rose, Herno, The Melbourne Gin Company, M & H, Scape Grace and Margaret River Distilling Co.

The box will also have some tasting notes for each of the gins - it's easy to assume that all drops have 'hints of botanicals and floral notes' but if you want to wow people at a festive dinner party then knowing your stuff will be key.

Here's the important part: the price.

Considering there are two dozen shots of carefully packaged gin, you have to expect to pay a bit. There's a discounted price for pre-sale of $199, however once that runs out, you'll have to fork out $249 for this bad boy.

But can you really put a price on a tipsy run-up to Christmas? Well, obviously yes... but it's still pretty bloody good.

There's also Whiskey Loot for people who prefer that type of spirit - this advent calendar costs $299 pre-sale and $329 for full price.
