An Australian man has suffered a broken arm after trying to sneak into a strip club in Adelaide.

The 20-year-old bloke was captured on video trying to scale a wall that was attached to The Palace on the city's Hendley Street over the weekend.

7News has published the horrifying moment the man managed to latch onto a pipe and then a balcony, before losing his grip.

He was so close, yet so far.

The man plummeted to the ground below and hit the deck hard. He's also lucky he didn't fall a few centimetres further to the right as there was a pole that could have done some serious damage to his clacker.

He managed to get a bit of an audience watching him as he shimmied up the wall like Spider-Man, who also got to see his spectacular and literal fall from grace.

According to 7News, an ambulance was called and the man had to be treated at the scene before he was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

He was diagnosed with a broken arm and bruising on his body.
