Sipping on a schooner of beer at the pub is a pretty bloody good feeling. So is tucking into a decent serving of ice-cream.

But have you ever thought of those two things being combined into one beautiful concoction?

Ben & Jerry's has teamed up with 4 Pines Brewing Co to create one hell of a delicious brew that also injects some good into the world.

Introducing the new 4 Pines Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream-inspired Nitro Beer.

This delectable-sounding brew has been made at 4 Pines' Brookvale brewery and is described as 'a sweet and creamy lactose infused golden brown nitro ale'.

Ben & Jerry's has plenty of different tubs of ice cream in its arsenal, but it decided to pick their most iconic flavour for their beer infusion.

While it goes against your natural instincts, you're meant to give the beer can a few light shakes before you crack it open to get the nitrogen infusion ready to rock and roll.

Then you need to flip the can and pour it hard into a glass. If you get this right, you'll witness a mesmerizing cascade of colour followed by a marvellous head that is like a velvety dream'.

While the taste of the beer will no doubt send your tastebuds into an absolute spin, your heart and mind will benefit from the idea that these two brands got together because they're both big advocates of renewable energy.

4 Pines and Ben & Jerry's are working with Australia's first community-owned power company, Enova Community Energy. The ice cream and beer legends have committed to supporting a 'revolving community energy fund' that will help provide solar panels to a not-for-profit community group that is in need of some green power.

This 'revolving' commitment will ensure Enova will be able to fund more projects for other community groups across Australia in the future. If you want to get in on the solar action, then apply here.

Pick up this good beer that gives back at all leading bottle shops.

There will also be select venues selling it on tap and will be available at this year's GABS Craft Beer & Cider Festival in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

You better get it quick though as it's a limited-edition.
