A woman has been dubbed the best boss in the world after she gifted all her employees one hell of a celebratory present.

Sara Blakely's company, Spanx, was recently valued at $1.2 billion after investment firm Blackstone bought a majority stake in it.

While some CEOs would use that as a chance to nip off on a luxurious holiday, Sara wanted her staff to do that instead.

During a party to celebrate the valuation update, she told all her employees that they would be getting two first class tickets to anywhere they wanted in the world and $10,000.

Spanx has more than 500 staff, so this is no small feat.

In a now viral video posted on social media, Sara asked everyone gathered at the party: "Why am I spinning the globe."

The video adds that her life's motto is that the more experience you have in life, the more experience you have to offer others.

That's when she dropped the bombshell of what her employees were about to receive.

"I have bought each one of you two first class tickets to anywhere in the world," she said as the room erupted into cheers.

She continued: "If you go on a trip you might want to go out to a really nice dinner, you might want to go out to a really nice hotel, and so with everybody's two first-class tickets to anywhere in the world you are each getting $10,000."

If you thought the crowd went wild over the plane tickets, news of a cheeky 10 grand in the bank made them feverish.

Sara explained that she couldn't have done it without them as well as the women who laid the groundwork that allowed her to pursue her dreams.

She started Spanx with just $5,000 and hoped one day it would be worth $20 million dollars.

The dreamer explained to her staff that when she wrote that number on a whiteboard, everyone laughed at her. Look. at her now.

Not only has she achieved that, but she's also created an empire and a foundation, the Blakely's Red Backpack Fund, that helps female entrepreneurs.

Addressing the room, she said: "This is a very big moment for each and every one of you, and I want to also toast the women that came before me and all of the women in the world who have not had this opportunity.

"So at a moment like this, I think of my mom and my grandmother and their lack of options and all the women that came before them."
