As we approach the silly season in Australia, people everywhere are gearing up for a bumper summer.
While the threat of the coronavirus is still very much in the front of our minds, restrictions have eased to the point that hanging with friends is totally legal.
In that spirit, it gives us great pleasure to reveal there is a new leader in cases of beer. Australia was delighted when Pabst Blue Ribbon unveiled its 99-can case of beer, however one company has gone one literal step further.

Craft Cartel Liquor has revealed it will now be selling a 100-can crate of beer just in time for summer.
It has officially been crowned the country's largest purchasable case of beer and features a range of craft ales that will no doubt make a splash at any massive party.
The company said in a statement: "Perfect as the ultimate Christmas gift for craft beer lovers, for holiday get togethers, or corporate Christmas parties, the Craft Cartel - 100 Can Case supports 25 independently owned Australian craft breweries across the country, including Hawkers, Young Henrys, Moon Dog, Two Birds, Sauce Brewing and more.

"The Craft Cartel - 100 Can Case is designed as the ultimate gift for craft beer enthusiasts looking to
support the brewery industry whilst enjoying 100 cold ones... that's summer sorted!"
It's so large and heavy that it takes two people to carry it (or one goddamn legend hellbent on getting lower back pain forever) but it can be delivered to your door for free if you live in Metro Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Now, here's the tricky part.

Because there is only limited stock and it's comes in a fairly bougie wooden box, it's not going to be cheap. The whole thing will set you back $499, but it comes with ten $20 vouchers to spend on the Craft Cartel Liquor website.
So technically, it's only $299 for the beer and another $200 on all the booze you'll be drinking later.
If you need another reason to pick it up, you'll be helping companies that were affected during the coronavirus pandemic.
"Craft Cartel - 100 Can Case are a range of Victorian breweries who have been hardest hit by the extended lockdowns," the company said. "There are also a wide variety of styles including Pale Ale's, NEIPA's, Brown Ale's and IPA's. No fillers in this box, just great Aussie craft!"
