Cadbury has entered 2021 in the sweetest way possible with the news that the chocolate giants are set to release a new addition to their already delicious range.

*drum roll please*

We will soon be able to chomp down on a Neapolitan chocolate block.

Rumours have long been swirling that the triple-flavoured ice. cream treat was going to be released, and now Cadbury has now officially confirmed its existence.

In an email, the team at Cadbury announced: "Cadbury Dairy Milk Neapolitan is a nostalgic nod to a favourite Australian dessert and a novel take on the ice-cream classic that delivers a unique 3 layered block."

According to pictures, the new flavour looks to feature a base of Dairy Milk chocolate, topped with white and strawberry flavoured chocolate.

The first rumour about the delicious looking new flavour was first started by the @foodfindsgeelong Instagram account, who also claimed that tropical Skittles and Smith's 'Crispy Bacon' chips were also in the works.

Fans are already in a frenzy over the prospect, with many pondering the specifics of the trio of flavours.

"I wonder what flavours they will have? Caramilk, milk chocolate and ruby chocolate?" one Instagram user asked.

Another added: "I hope it is regular milk chocolate and not chocolate ice cream flavour."

The drool-worthy addition will be rolled out in stores over the week, but Coles already has them listed online for $5 for a big block, with a smaller 50-gram bar also available if you don't feel like gorging on an entire block yourself (suit yourself).
