Jenna Ryan has been sentenced to 60 days jail for taking part in the US Capitol building insurrection.

The Texas real estate broker, officially documented as Jennifer Leigh Ryan, handed herself into authorities shortly after the January 6 tragedy.

She was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Ryan gain notoriety for bragging that she wouldn't be sent to jail because of the colour of her skin and hair.

She posted on social media: "Definitely not going to jail. Sorry I have blonde hair white skin a great job a great future and I'm not going to jail...I did nothing wrong."

Ryan repeatedly claimed she was innocent despite storming the Capitol, which she described on social media as 'one of the best days of my life' and thought she 'deserved a medal for what I did'.

The estate broker said she was compelled to fly to Washington D.C. on the day politicians were meant to formally confirm Joe Biden as the next President of the United States.

She and other 'actual patriots' arrived at the American capital to protest against the 'rigged' election and she live streamed her activities on the day.

At one point she in a video: "We're gonna go down and storm the Capitol...We are going to f**king go in here. Life or death, it doesn't matter. Here we go."

When she was inside the building, which was captured on CCTV footage, Ryan could be heard yelling 'Fight for Trump'.

She appeared on NBC on the day Donald Trump left office and she allege she had done nothing wrong. She even begged the former US President for a pardon.

"President Trump I want you to know that I have been a true supporter of yours and I believe that you won the election," she said.

"I believe in America and I believe in your values. And I was not a violent protestor and I would ask that you would pardon me from this misdemeanour."

Trump didn't grant the pardon to Ryan or anyone else connected with the Capitol insurrection.

Ryan eventually pleaded guilty and she's since been ordered to go to prison for 60 days, pay a $1,000 fine and also $500 in restitution to the architect of the Capitol.

Judge Christopher R. Cooper noted how Ryan expressed zero remorse or guilt for being part of the Capitol insurrection.

During sentencing, he reportedly said: "I think the sentence should tell them that we take it seriously, that it was an assault on our democracy ... and that it should never happen again.

Ryan will be forced to attend prison sometime early next year, according to NBC.

She wrote on Twitter following her sentencing: "I'm just gonna make a blanket statement to all the people that are calling me and texting me. You win!!! I'm going to prison.

"So you don't need to contact me anymore. Pop champagne and then rejoice. But just leave me alone."
