The fallout continues for Pete Evans, who is in damage control after posting a meme to his social media accounts that contained a neo-Nazi symbol.

The celebrity chef has since apologised for any offence taken and believes there are many interpretations to the image he uploaded.

The former My Kitchen Rules co-host was widely tipped to be included in the upcoming season of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here Australia. However, that will definitely not be happening.

A spokesperson for Network 10 told news.com.au: "Network 10 can confirm that Pete Evans will not be appearing on this season of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!".

The channel didn't address whether Evans was being considered or had signed on for the show.

TV Blackbox claimed the controversial chef had been picked, however, following the meme being posted on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, he was forced into crisis talks with producers of the survival competition show.

The image featured a caterpillar and a butterfly talking, with the latter having the Black Sun, a Nazi Germany-era symbol, on its wings.

Evans said he will take some time to evaluate what some of the symbolism is in different images and shared a rainbow heart as a peace offering to fans who were angry at him.

He wrote on Facebook: "Sincere apologies to anyone who misinterpreted a previous post of a caterpillar and a butterfly having a chat over a drink and perceived that I was promoting hatred. I look forward to studying all of the symbols that have ever existed and research them thoroughly before posting. Hopefully this symbol resonates deeply into the hearts of ALL!"

Despite this hubris, the fallout continued from other angles. His publisher, Pan Macmillan Australia has announced they will be parting ways.

"Those views are not our views as a company or the views of our staff. Pan Macmillian is currently finalising its contractual relationship with Pete Evans and as such will not be entering any further publishing agreements moving forward," a statement said.

"If any retailer wishes to return Pete Evans' books please contact Pan Macmillian."

Dymocks Australia was the first to put their hand up and said they 'are in the process of removing his books from our website and have advised our stores to return their stock as offered by the publisher'.
