A cow has reportedly escaped a slaughterhouse in Brazil and managed to make it into a neighbouring water park.

According to the New York Post, this story takes place in Nova Granada, which is around 500 miles west of Rio de Janeiro.

The cow, who was destined to be killed to have its meat harvested for consumption at a cattle ranch, managed to break free and it wandered around until it found the Indaia Club de Campo.

It climbed some stairs until it found itself at the top of a water slide.

Thankfully, this all occurred when there weren't loads of people around so the animal didn't get spooked and it approached the slide with caution.

It then slowly made its way down the twisting blue amusement park slide. The water had been turned off so the slide wasn't slippery.

It's a bizarre set of circumstances and many are asking how the cow managed to make its way inside the water park in the first place. Those places usually have pretty tight security to ensure people don't break in overnight.

Either way, a cow was unmistakably seen on the water slide and it nearly got to the bottom.

Video footage from Indaia Club de Campo shows a man rope the cow and encourage it into the pool, before it was rescued and brought out of the water.

It's a massive relief staff were there are the time because it would suck for the cow to escape certain death in a slaughterhouse only to drown in a small pool.

What's even more outrageous is that the slide is only certified to be able to hold up to 450 pounds in weight. Yet, this animal reportedly clocks in at around 700 pounds and the slide still managed to hold it without breaking.

According to iHeart, when the water park alerted the cattle ranch about their missing cow, the owner, Carlos Miguel Serante, decided not to kill the cow and instead has turned it into a pet.

Serante told news outlet G1: "I looked to see if he had any injuries, but he's fine. He'll stay here because of the people.

"The people want to know where he is. He's been the attraction. Everyone wants to know. We want to take him to the club."

Carlos even named the cow Tobogã, which means slide in Portuguese.
