An Australian former police officer has waded into the adult film industry.

Ex-senior constable Zachary Samuel Maidment has been granted bail after being charged with a string of offences on the Gold Coast.

Prosecutors allege the 29-year-old snorted cocaine off his ex-fianceé's breasts, Playboy cover girl Tyana Hansen, while they celebrating his birthday at the Star Casino in June last year.

Maidment is also accused of using cocaine several more times that night and allegedly asked another person to do the same.

He was eventually arrested as part of Operation Sierra Edgehill, which was investigating the trafficking of dangerous drugs. He was then investigated by Queensland Police's Ethical Standards Command and he resigned from the force shortly afterwards.

Maidment has been charged with two counts of possessing a dangerous drug, two counts of supplying a dangerous drug, two counts of possessing property suspected of being used in connection with a drug offence.

He's also facing one count of permitting the use of a place and one count of possessing anything suspected of being used in the commission of a crime. He has not yet been required to enter a plea nor have charges yet been committed for trial.

However, it's since been revealed that he's found a new revenue stream: porn.

Maidment has reportedly joined OnlyFans with Hansen, who told the ABC they made 'five figures' from their content in just 24 hours. The Playboy cover model had already been using the website for about a year and then Maidment wanted to get involved.

She added: "I've done this to have financial freedom and it's been a good opportunity to not have a boss and work for myself. With this (account) having just launched, for him to have the opportunity too...it's been nice to share that together.

"When Zac was in the police, they controlled every aspect of his life, including what he posted to social media. So, doing this is a chance for both of us to be ourselves."

Mr Maidment is due to face the Southport Magistrates Court on August 10.
