The FBI has received intelligence that armed protests have been planned in all 50 US states in the coming days.
Less than a week after the deadly riots at the Capitol building in Washington D.C., it appears conservative extremists are going to make the final few days of Donald Trump's presidency a ca transition period.
Trump is due to leave the White House on January 20 when Joe Biden gets inaugurated.

CNN obtained a document from the FBI that states 'armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitols from 16 January through at least 20 January, and at the US Capitol from 17 January through 20 January'.
"They have warned that if Congress attempts to remove POTUS via the 25th Amendment, a huge uprising will occur," adds a bulletin seen by ABC News.
The dossier from the FBI has also highlighted one group that plans to 'storm' state, local and federal government courthouses and administrative buildings if Trump is removed from office before January 20.

The National Park Service (NPS) said it had received 'credible threats' of further unrest at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C.
The NPS has closed tours of the Washington Monument from January 11 until January 24 as a precautionary measure. It also warned there could be closures to roadways, restrooms, parking areas and other facilities on the National Mall and Memorial Park.
As a result of the Capitol riots last week and the new threat posed by Trump loyalists, the Department of Homeland Security says their protection mission for the inauguration will begin early on January 13 instead of January 19.

Democrats have called on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment, which would remove Trump from office immediately if he's declared 'unfit' for the role.
The riots have also seen Democrats introduce an article of impeachment against Donald Trump.
The 45th President has now become the first in US history to have two separate instances of impeachment against him.
The impeachment proceedings could stand a better chance of success this time around as the Democrats hold a majority within the house.

Furthermore, while they may only take a matter of days from Trump's presidency, they could also preclude him from running for public office in future.
A vote on whether to impeach Trump could be heard by the middle of this week.
